Service truck maintenance tracking for electrical contractors
Your trucks are rolling warehouses. When one is down, a crew is standing still and a job slips a day. AssetStacc tracks every van and bucket truck by mileage, engine hours and inspection date so a breakdown is a scheduled repair instead of a lost morning.
What this usually looks like today
If more than two of these are true, the records you need in a year probably do not exist yet.
- Service vans and bucket trucks scattered across job sites, with maintenance tracked in someone's phone
- No idea which truck is quietly costing the most per mile
- Bucket and aerial device inspection dates buried in a filing cabinet
- Repair invoices from three different shops with no history tied to the vehicle
What AssetStacc does about it
Every van on a service calendar
Set preventive maintenance by mileage or engine hours per asset. Overdue and upcoming service surface on one dashboard, not in a reminder someone forgot to set.
Aerial device and DOT dates tracked
Bucket truck inspection intervals, federal annual inspection due dates and registration renewals all live on the same compliance calendar with overdue alerts.
True cost per truck
Parts, labor and outside vendor invoices post to the asset, so you can see lifetime cost per unit and decide when replacing beats repairing.
One record from inspection to invoice
A failed item on an inspection becomes a line on a work order, then an estimate, then an invoice — carrying the same number the whole way.
Assets typically tracked
Anything with a serial number, a service interval or an inspection date.
- Service vans
- Bucket / aerial trucks
- Flatbeds and material trucks
- Trailers
- Generators and compressors
Common questions
We only have eight trucks. Is this overkill?
No. AssetStacc is built for the range where spreadsheets stop working and enterprise fleet suites are too much — roughly five to a few hundred assets.
Do I need a separate system for inspections and for invoicing?
No. AssetStacc keeps the inspection, the resulting work order, the estimate, the invoice and the payment on one record with one number, so the repair history and the billing history are the same history.
Can technicians use it in the field?
Yes. Technicians have their own portal for assigned work, time entry, photos and notes, and it is built mobile-first for phone use in a yard or on a job site.
What happens to my records if I stop subscribing?
Your records remain exportable as PDFs and data files. Inspection and repair history is meant to outlive any single software subscription.
