Servicing multiple vehicles?

AssetStacc runs the same service for businesses and fleets, with every visit documented to the asset.

Questions we hear

I do not own the vehicle yet — can you still inspect it?

Yes. That is the point of a pre-purchase inspection. We coordinate access with the seller or dealer at their location.

What do I get at the end?

A documented inspection report with findings, photos and any fault codes, emailed to you so you can negotiate or walk away.

Do you inspect work trucks and commercial units?

Yes — from passenger cars to medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles and trailers.

What we inspect

Light vehicles through heavy equipment. The checklist changes with the asset class; the documentation standard does not.

Cars, vans and light-duty pickups

Private-party and dealer purchases, work vans and half-ton trucks being added to a small fleet.

  • Scan for stored, pending and history fault codes plus readiness monitors
  • Engine and transmission condition — leaks, cold start, drivability road test
  • Cooling, charging and battery health
  • Brakes, tires, steering, suspension and alignment indicators
  • Frame, unibody and prior collision or repaint evidence
  • Rust and corrosion assessment, undercarriage photos
  • HVAC, electrical accessories, lighting and safety equipment
  • VIN verification, odometer plausibility and open recall check

Medium- and heavy-duty trucks and tractors

Class 3 through Class 8 units, box trucks, service bodies, dumps, sleepers and day cabs.

  • Engine, aftertreatment and emissions system condition (DPF, DEF, EGR history)
  • ECM fault history and available service data
  • Air brake system — chambers, slack adjusters, lining thickness, leak-down test
  • Clutch, transmission, driveline and differential inspection
  • Frame rails, crossmembers, fifth wheel and mounting hardware
  • Suspension, king pins, steering play and tire condition with DOT dates
  • Cab, glass, mirrors, lighting and required safety equipment
  • Items measured against the DOT annual inspection criteria in 49 CFR 396 Appendix A

Trailers

Dry vans, flatbeds, dumps, equipment and utility trailers.

  • Frame, deck, crossmembers and weld condition
  • Brakes, drums or rotors, air lines and ABS function
  • Axles, hubs, seals, bearings and suspension components
  • Landing gear, coupler, pintle or gooseneck condition
  • Lighting, wiring, reflective tape and required markings
  • Tires, rims and DOT date codes
  • Floor, walls, roof, doors and load-securement points

Construction and off-road equipment

Excavators, loaders, skid steers, backhoes, forklifts and attachments.

  • Hour meter verification and service history review where available
  • Hydraulic system — cylinders, hoses, pumps, drift and leak checks
  • Undercarriage, tracks, rollers, sprockets or tires
  • Engine, cooling and hydraulic oil condition, with sampling on request
  • Boom, stick, bucket, pins, bushings and attachment wear
  • Structural welds, ROPS, guarding and safety interlocks
  • Electrical, controls, gauges and operator station function
  • Functional operating test of every circuit under load

What you receive

A pass / defect / critical rating on every line

Each checklist item is rated, and anything marked as a defect requires a note and a photo. Nothing is left as an unexplained checkmark.

Time-stamped photo evidence

Photos of the VIN, meter reading, tires, undercarriage, leaks and every recorded defect are attached to the report, not sent loose in a text thread.

A signed, branded PDF report

You receive the completed inspection as a PDF you can send to the seller, a lender, an insurer or a partner.

An optional repair estimate

If you want the found defects priced, the inspection converts directly into an itemized estimate for parts and labor so you know what the unit needs after purchase.

A permanent record on the asset

If you buy the unit and track it in AssetStacc, the pre-purchase inspection becomes the first entry in that asset's permanent history — every later repair builds on it.

Buying a whole fleet or business?

AssetStacc Enterprise includes an acquisition due diligence view that summarises service, inspection and compliance evidence for each asset. It supports a buyer's review; it is not a valuation or appraisal.
