Questions and answers

AssetStacc frequently asked questions

Two sets of answers: one for AssetStacc Mobile Service, the crew that comes to your yard, and one for the AssetStacc Fleet Management Platform that subscribers run their own operations on.

AssetStacc Mobile Service FAQs

Mobile fleet inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across Greater Sacramento and the Bay Area.

What areas does AssetStacc Mobile Service cover?

We serve Greater Sacramento — Sacramento, West Sacramento, Roseville, Rocklin, Rancho Cordova, Elk Grove, Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Carmichael, Fair Oaks, Orangevale, Granite Bay, Citrus Heights, Lincoln and Loomis — and the San Francisco Bay Area along the I-80 corridor, including Vacaville, Fairfield, Concord, Walnut Creek, Oakland and San Jose. We come to your yard, shop or job site; we do not operate a walk-in repair location.

What types of vehicles and equipment does AssetStacc service?

Pickups, vans, box trucks, tractors and trailers, plus off-road and job-site equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, generators and towable equipment. Service intervals can be tracked by mileage or by engine hours.

Does AssetStacc service Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles?

Yes. We work on light-duty Class 1–3 vehicles, medium-duty Class 4–6 trucks and heavy-duty Class 7–8 tractors and trailers.

Does AssetStacc provide mobile annual inspection services?

AssetStacc currently offers annual inspection readiness audits at your location. This identifies items to address before a federal annual periodic inspection, but it is not a passing inspection or certification. Booking for the federal annual inspection remains unavailable until inspector qualifications and the offered service are confirmed.

Does AssetStacc perform contracted California 90-day vehicle safety inspections?

Yes. The California carrier 90-day vehicle safety inspection is a core contracted service; the motor carrier attests to completion and repairs. Each inspection is recorded to the specific asset so your 90-day cycle, defects and corrections stay auditable in one place.

Does AssetStacc provide Clean Truck Check services?

We support Clean Truck Check compliance: emissions readiness checks, OBD data collection where the vehicle supports it, and tracking of testing deadlines per power unit. We advise on reporting requirements but do not act as your CARB filing agent.

Does AssetStacc provide mobile preventive maintenance?

Yes. Scheduled PM services — oil and filter changes, fluid and brake checks, chassis lubrication, tire and air-system checks — are performed on site and logged against the asset's maintenance history.

Does AssetStacc provide mobile diagnostics?

Yes. Check-engine lights, no-start conditions, electrical faults, drivability complaints and diesel engine and aftertreatment diagnostics. We verify and document the actual fault before any repair is authorized.

Does AssetStacc perform general repairs?

We perform brake service, battery, alternator and starter replacement, lighting and electrical repairs, and the common repairs that follow an inspection or diagnostic. Work that requires a lift or a machine shop is coordinated with a vetted shop and tracked in your records.

Can AssetStacc service multiple fleet vehicles at one location?

Yes — that is the most efficient way to use us. We schedule multi-unit visits so a technician works through several vehicles in one trip, and every unit gets its own inspection record and invoice line.

Does AssetStacc perform pre-purchase inspections?

Yes. Pre-purchase inspections cover mechanical condition, brakes and tires, leaks, diagnostics, and documented photos so you know what you are buying before money changes hands.

What information is required to request service?

Your name, contact email or phone, the service address where the asset sits, what you need done, and basic asset details such as year, make, model and unit number.

Is a VIN required?

A VIN is not required to request service, but it is strongly recommended. With the VIN we can decode year, make, model and engine, match the correct parts, and attach the work permanently to that asset's history.

How quickly does AssetStacc respond?

Requests submitted through the website reach our coordinators immediately and are typically answered the same business day. Scheduling depends on your location, the work required and parts availability.

Is after-hours service available?

After-hours and weekend visits can be arranged for fleets that cannot release units during the workday. Ask for it when you submit your request so we can confirm technician availability.

Is there a minimum service charge?

Yes. Mobile visits carry a minimum service charge that covers travel and on-site time. The amount is quoted before we dispatch, and it is credited into the estimate when repairs are approved.

Which payment methods are accepted?

We accept major credit and debit cards processed securely through Square, plus business check and ACH for approved fleet accounts. Card details are never stored on AssetStacc servers.

Can customers approve estimates and pay online?

Yes. Estimates are sent by email with a secure link. You can review each line, approve or decline, and pay the resulting invoice online.

Can fleet customers access their records through a portal?

Yes. The AssetStacc customer portal gives you your fleet list, inspection reports, compliance due dates, estimates, work orders, invoices and receipts, scoped strictly to your own company.

How does a customer request mobile service?

Use the Request Service form on this website, or call (916) 305-0621. The form creates a real record in our Request Center, so nothing gets lost in a voicemail box.

AssetStacc Fleet Management Platform FAQs

How the software works for fleets, shops and mobile mechanics who run their own operation on AssetStacc.

What is the AssetStacc Fleet Management Platform?

It is the software that runs our own mobile-service business, offered to other fleets and shops: asset registry, digital inspections, compliance calendars, estimates, work orders, invoices, payments, parts and technician time in one connected system.

Who is the platform designed for?

Fleet owners, maintenance managers, mobile mechanics, independent repair shops, contractors and municipal fleets — anyone who has to prove what was inspected, what was repaired and what it cost.

Which vehicles, equipment and assets can it manage?

Any asset you can identify: on-road vehicles from Class 1 to Class 8, trailers, off-road and construction equipment, generators, and shop or job-site equipment tracked by mileage or engine hours.

Does it manage estimates, work orders, invoices, receipts and payments?

Yes. The full chain is connected — inspection findings become estimate lines, approved estimates become work orders, work orders become invoices, and payments produce receipts against the same authoritative totals.

Can technicians use it from a phone or tablet?

Yes. The technician portal is mobile-first: assigned jobs, digital inspections with photos, parts and labor entry, time clock and customer signature capture from a phone or tablet in the field.

Does it support annual, California 90-day, compliance and preventive-maintenance records?

Yes. The platform tracks uploaded federal annual inspection records, California carrier 90-day inspections, PM services and custom checklists. New annual certification forms remain hidden until the inspector's qualifications are confirmed.

Can fleet customers access records through a portal?

Yes. Subscribers can invite their own customers to a portal where those customers see only their own fleet, inspections, estimates, invoices and requests.

Can subscribers connect their own Square accounts?

Yes. Subscribers connect their own Square account so card payments settle directly into their own merchant account. AssetStacc never holds subscriber funds.

What is PEMO Blue-Collar Intelligence?

PEMO is our AI assistant for maintenance work. It reads inspection findings, symptoms and asset history to suggest likely causes, draft repair notes and help build estimates. It assists the technician; it never approves work or replaces a qualified diagnosis.

Which telematics, ERP and business integrations are currently active?

Live today: Square payments, email delivery and notifications, VIN decoding through the NHTSA vPIC database, and AI-assisted diagnostics and parts lookup.

Which integrations are planned?

On the roadmap and clearly labeled as planned: telematics feeds such as Samsara and Motive, accounting exports, and additional parts-supplier catalogs. We do not advertise an integration as available until it is live in production.

How is customer and fleet information protected?

Every record is scoped to its owning workspace with row-level database security, access is controlled by role, administrative access to a customer account is logged, and payment card data is handled by Square rather than stored by us.

How can a company join the AssetStacc pilot program?

Apply on the Founding Subscriber Pilot page. Applications are reviewed individually; approved companies receive a secure activation invitation and a controlled 90-day pilot with no automatic billing.

See the platform overview, take the guided product tour or apply to the Founding Subscriber Pilot.
