Inspection scheduling

Schedule an inspection

Contracted 90-Day Vehicle Safety Inspections and separate annual readiness audits at your yard, with a record for every truck, tractor and trailer.

Distinct inspections, separate records

The carrier's 90-day inspection, a CHP terminal review and a federal annual periodic inspection are different activities and are never merged into one document.

90-Day Vehicle Safety Inspection

The carrier vehicle inspection required by CVC §34505.5, performed by AssetStacc as a contracted service while the motor carrier attests to completion and repairs.

  • Performed on-site at your yard or terminal
  • Every component group rated, defects photographed
  • Signed PDF retained for your terminal file
  • Next 90-day due date tracked automatically

Annual Inspection Readiness Audit

A pre-inspection review against the federal component groups. It is not a passing annual periodic inspection or certification under 49 CFR 396.17.

  • Items to repair before a qualified annual inspection
  • Records to gather before the annual inspection
  • Out-of-service conditions flagged immediately
  • Next annual due date tracked automatically

How scheduling works

  1. 1

    Tell us what needs inspecting

Send the request with your units, location and which program is due. It takes about a minute.

  2. 2

    We confirm a window

You get a confirmation with the date, arrival window and what we need on site.

  3. 3

Inspection or readiness audit performed on site

Each item is rated pass, fail, not applicable or not inspected, with notes and photographs on any defect.

  4. 4

    Report, defects and estimate

You receive the signed PDF, the defect list and an itemized estimate for any repairs, with the next-due date set.

  5. 5

    Repairs and technician sign-off

Approved repairs are performed and signed off against the same inspection or audit record — the original failed result stays in the history.

Questions

How is a 90-day inspection different from a CHP BIT review or federal annual inspection?

The 90-day vehicle safety inspection is the motor carrier's recurring inspection under CVC 34505.5; a contracted service may perform it while the carrier representative attests to the record and repairs. A CHP BIT inspection is the CHP's review of a carrier terminal. A federal annual periodic inspection under 49 CFR 396.17 is separate and must be performed by a qualified inspector. AssetStacc currently offers an annual readiness audit, not annual certification.

Do you come to us?

Yes. Inspections are performed at your yard, terminal or job site across the Sacramento region and Northern California.

What do we receive afterward?

A signed PDF inspection report with every rated item, defect notes, photographs, inspector information and the next-due date — permanently filed against that unit, plus an itemized repair estimate for anything that failed.

Can you correct the defects you find?

Yes. Failed items roll straight into an estimate and work order for your approval, and the technician repair sign-off is recorded against the same review without erasing the original result.

Where can I get a blank inspection form?

AssetStacc inspection forms are completed inside the platform by an authenticated inspector so the record, photos, signature and repair history stay attached to the asset. We no longer publish a blank fillable form.
