Equipment software

Heavy equipment maintenance software

Excavators, loaders, generators and compressors do not run on odometers. AssetStacc manages equipment on engine hours, jobsite inspections and a permanent machine history.

Who this is for

Owners of mixed fleets where machines and trucks are managed by the same small team.

Construction and site contractors

Companies running earthmoving and support equipment across jobsites, alongside service trucks and trailers.

Equipment owners and rental operators

Operators who need documented service history to protect uptime, warranty positions and resale value.

The problems it solves

  • Software that assumes every asset has an odometer, so equipment gets tracked by guesswork.
  • Hour-based services missed because nobody read the meter.
  • Machine history scattered across dealer invoices, texts and a mechanic's memory.
  • No cost picture per machine when deciding whether to repair or replace.

What the software does

Hour-based service intervals

The 250, 500 and 1,000-hour services that actually govern equipment.

  • Intervals in engine hours or calendar time
  • Whichever-comes-first handling
  • Due and overdue by machine, not by fleet

Jobsite inspections

Inspections recorded where the machine is, including photos of what was found.

  • Pre-use and periodic inspection records
  • Defect photos attached to the asset
  • Findings routed into repair work

Parts, fluids and filters

What went into the machine, at what hours, and what it cost.

  • Parts consumption per machine
  • Vendor and purchase records
  • Cost visible against the asset

Permanent machine history

One continuous record from purchase to disposal.

  • Every service, inspection and repair
  • Hour readings over time
  • Retained through operator and site changes

How it runs

  1. 1

    Register the machine

Make, model, serial number, year and current hour-meter reading.

  2. 2

    Define the service plan

Set hour-based and calendar intervals for each service type on that machine.

  3. 3

    Capture readings in the field

Technicians record hour readings during inspections and service visits.

  4. 4

    Work the due list

Machines approaching an interval appear on a due list before they run past it.

  5. 5

    Keep the history

Completed work, parts and costs stay on the machine permanently.

Available today versus roadmap

Available today

  • Equipment assets with hour meters and serial numbers
  • Hour-based and calendar service intervals
  • Inspections, work orders, parts and costs per machine
  • Permanent machine history

On the roadmap

  • Automated hour-meter sync from connected telematics providers
  • Equipment utilization reporting
  • Component-level rebuild tracking

Common questions

Does AssetStacc track engine hours instead of mileage?

Yes. Equipment assets carry an hour meter, and service intervals can be set in engine hours, in calendar time, or both — whichever comes first.

Can equipment and vehicles live in the same system?

Yes. Excavators, loaders, generators, compressors and light towers sit alongside trucks and trailers in one asset list, each with the meter type that fits it.

How are hour readings captured?

Readings are entered by the technician or operator during inspection and service work today. Telematics providers can be connected as a data source; automated hour-meter sync coverage varies by provider and is labeled on the roadmap.

What happens when a machine is sold?

The service, inspection and parts history stays with the asset record, so the machine's documented history is available for resale or a due-diligence review.
